MERCURY ACTIVE UNVEILS NEW WEBSITE
Website promotes Ottawa's newest interactive content company
Ottawa, May 16, 2012 -- Mercury Active is pleased to announce the official launch of their website: www.mercuryactive.com to promote its new interactive content studio. The HTML 5 site features a clean design and usable platform while delivering Mercury Active's value proposition: providing clients and partners with leading edge content strategies in mobile, web, social media, and beyond.
Mercury Active President, Glenn Bakie, has been transitioning major brands into the digital space since 2006 and personally oversees the artistic and technical processes on all of Mercury Active's digital projects. He has delivered successful campaigns for brands and partner agencies throughout North America and Europe.
Of the new website, Glenn says: "I'm thrilled with the launch. It continues the Mercury story and showcases our expertise and innovation in this ever-changing new media landscape. The site has a clean, straightforward design that cuts through the digital noise. Our goal is to use it as a method to start conversations with people about how we can come together and create amazing work for their audience."
Created in partnership with Mercury Filmworks, one of Canada's largest and most prolific independent animation studios; Mercury Active's philosophy pivots on combining the emotional resonance of television with the personal and social interaction of online and mobile networks. The company is currently working on several large entertainment properties with notable partners that include American Greetings, Cartoon Network Worldwide, Disney Europe, eOne Kids, Mercury Filmworks, Teletoon, and YTV.
Mercury Filmworks President, Clint Eland, says: "Glenn brings the experience, creative energy, and leadership skills necessary to bolster this exciting new business. I look forward to working with the Mercury Active team as Mercury Filmworks expands its creative frontier to include active content."
